Suicide a global epidemic but preventable
A worldwide epidemic of suicide has emerged. Around 135,000 (17%) of the approximately 800,000 suicides estimated to occur annually worldwide occur in India. In the entire world, one suicide occurs every 40 seconds. There may have been more than 20 previous suicide attempts for every suicide death.
